Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 12, 1986, at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of St. Ansgar, for Theresa Eske, 94, of St. Ansgar. She died on Monday, November 10, 1986, at an Osage nursing home. Rev. Richard Zellmer officiated, and burial was in St. John's Cemetery southwest of St. Ansgar.

She was born on April 17, 1892, in Newburg Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, to Edward and Louise (Treichel) Ahlf.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William (Evelyn) Schoneman of St. Ansgar; one grandson; and two sisters, Martha Knaak and and Bertha Ahlf, both of St. Ansgar.
