Funeral services were held on Monday, November 17, 1986, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, for Mrs. Clayton (Amanda) Anderson, 78, of Osage. She died on Wednesday, November 12, 1986 at an Osage nursing home. Rev. J. Nesheim and Rev. Dennis Hanson officiated, and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Cyrus, Minnesota, on September 10, 1908, to Syver and Anna Anderson. She attended local schools there and married Clayton Anderson on May 19, 1926, in Wilmar, Minnesota. They moved to Mitchell County, Iowa, in 1933 and farmed in the area.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church
Survivors include her husband, Clayton of Osage; one daughter, Mrs. Don (Darlene) Adams of Osage; one son, Kenneth of Perry; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Her tombstone gives her middle initial as S., and says her husband, Clayton L. Anderson, was born 1907 and died in 1989.
