Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 13, 1986, at the United Methodist Church in Osage, for Emma Adams, 84, of Osage. She died on Monday, November 10, 1986 at the Osage hospital. The Rev. J. Pittman officiated, and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Mrs. Adams, the daughter of Peter and Susan (Penney) Miller, was born on Sept. 4, 1902 in Stacyville, Iowa. She married Vernie Adams on May 1, 1920 in Osage. They farmed in the Little Cedar and Orchard areas until 1962 when they retired and moved to Osage. Mr. Adams died in 1976.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osage.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Alzina) Sheldon and Mrs. Irma Jeffries, both of Osage and Mrs. Dale (Frieda) Nabor of Rockwell; nice grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Felper of Watertown, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandchild; four brothers and one sister.
