Funeral services were held on Monday, September 15, 1986 at the Visitation Church in Stacyville, for Mrs. Alvina Hemann, 87, of Stacyville. Rev. K. Manternach officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery.
She died on Friday, September 13, 1986 at the Stacyville nursing home.
Alvina was born on August 14, 1899 in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Nicholas and Josephine May. She married Anton Hemann on November 10, 1920. She was a charter member of the Catholic Order of Foresters since 1928.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Roman (Alice) Gerk of St. Ansgar, and Mrs. Alden (Irene) Small of Osage; five sons: Vernon Hemann of Des Moines, Harry Hemann of Osage, Albert Hemann of Newton, Marvin and Don Hemann, both of Stacyville; 52 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton and two brothers.
