Guri Christoffersdatter Goplerud was born December 29, 1865 at Goplerud, Hedalen, Valdres, Oppland, Norway, to Christoffer Christoffersen Goplerud and Kjersti Haraldsdatter Ormsrud, the third of their eight children. She emigrated in 1867 with her parents to Dane County, Wisconsin. In 1869, the family moved west to settle at Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.
Found in the 1880 - 1885 censuses living at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa attending school:
1880: C. C. Goplerud 49, Kgerstia Goplerud 43, Christopher Goplerud 17, Harald Goplerud 16, Julia Goplerud 14, Olina Goplerud 12, Ingeborg Goplerud 10, John Goplerud 9.
1885: Christopher C Goplerud 54, Kjeist Goplerud 48, Christopher Goplerud 22, Julia Goplerud 19, Olina Goplerud 17, Engelberg Goplerud 15, John Goplerud 14.
Guri married Ole Olsen Fjelde Jr. on March 14, 1888 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had one daughter, Ida Caroline (March 29, 1889-October 30, 1966, married Edvin Tingelstad 1918).

1900: Christopher Copeland 69, Kjistic Copeland 63, Olinna Copeland 32, John Copeland 29, Julia Field 34, Ida C. Field 11.
1915: Guri Fjelde age 49.
1920: C C Goplerad 89, Kjerstie Goplerad 82, Guri Fjied 54.
Found in the 1930 census at Kent, King, Washington: Edvin Tingelstad 39, Ida C Tingelstad 40, Gertrude B Tingelstad 10, Gury Fjelde 64.
Found in the April 24, 1940 census at Parkland, Pierce, Washington: Edward Tingelstad 49, Ida Tingelstad 50, Gertrude Tingelstad 20, Guri Fielde 74.

Guri died September 29, 1955 at Portland, Clackamas, Oregon, and is buried at Valley View Cemetery, Silverton, Marion, Oregon.
