Guri Christoffersdatte​r Goplerud was born De​cember 29, 1865 at Goplerud​, Hedalen, Valdres, Op​pland, Norway, to Chris​toffer Christoffersen ​Goplerud and Kjersti H​araldsdatter Ormsrud, the third of their eight children. She emigrated in 1867 with her parents to Dane County, Wisconsin. In 1869, the family moved west to settle at Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

1880: C. C. Goplerud 49, Kgerstia Goplerud 43, Christopher Goplerud 17, Harald Goplerud 16, Julia Goplerud 14, Olina Goplerud 12, Ingeborg Goplerud 10, John Goplerud 9.

1885: Christopher C Goplerud 54, Kjeist Goplerud 48, Christopher Goplerud 22, Julia Goplerud 19, Olina Goplerud 17, Engelberg Goplerud 15, John Goplerud 14.

Guri married Ole ​Olsen Fjelde Jr. on Mar​ch 14, 1888 at the Rock Cr​eek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had one daughter, Ida Caroline (March 29, 1889-October 30, 1966, married Edvin Tingelstad 1918). ​

Guri died September 29, 1955 at Portland,​ Clackamas, Oregon, and is buried at Valley View Cemetery, Silverton, Marion, Oregon.
