NEOSHO, MISSOURI - Robert John Fox, 83, Neosho, Missouri, died April 24, 2013, at Freeman Neosho ER, following a sudden illness.
Mr. Fox was born on October 10, 1929 in New Haven, Iowa, the son of John and Verne (Kehoe) Fox. He entered the U.S. Army on March 11, 1954 and was discharged, March 9, 1956. He owned and operated Fox Package for 22 years and was a longtime farmer in the New Haven area. He was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of St. Canera Catholic Church.
Robert married his wife, Virginia Roetto on October 17, 1959 in Pierce City, Missouri, and she survives. Also surviving are five children: Dana Eads and husband, Mike, Neosho; Janelle Dunaway and husband, Ron, Springfield; Mark Fox and wife, Caroline, Little Rock, Arkansas; Phillip Fox and wife, Kristie, Galt, Missouri, and Tim Fox, Neosho; seven grandchildren; one brother, Ivo Fox, New Haven; one sister, Roseanne O’Neill, Waterloo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Leinenkugel and a brother, Kenneth Fox.
Services will be Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Canera Catholic Church, Father Hank Grodecki will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pierce City, Mo. and full military honors will be conducted at the graveside service. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
