Funeral services were held Saturday, November 15, 1986 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, Iowa, for Harvey Bublitz, 78, of Grafton. He died on Wednesday, November 12, 1986 at an Osage nursing home. Rev. J. Fladland officiated, and burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Township, (Mitchell county, Iowa,) rural Grafton.
Born January 18, 1908 in Worth county, Iowa, Mr. Bublitz was the son of William and Anna (Wilde) Bublitz. He attended rural schools in Worth County. On May 5, 1935, he married Irene Ingersoll at the family farm in rural Plymouth, Iowa. After his father died, he and his brothers took over the operation of the family farm until retiring in 1974 and moving to Grafton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy and Ervin; and two sisters, Wilma and Hedwig.
Survivors include his wife, Irene of Grafton; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Gloria) Stevenson of Elma; a son, Harley of Grafton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. George (Elsie) Kirchgatter of Riceville.
