Funeral services were held Saturday, November 15, 1986 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riceville, Iowa, for Marvin W. Kruger, 76, a retired Riceville area farmer. He died on Wednesday, November 12, 1986 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Rev. Robert Pfeil officiated, and burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Riceville.
He was born and raised in Mitchell County, Iowa. Mr. Kruger retired from farming in 1966.
Survivors include his wife, Lena of Riceville; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Darlene) Kephart of Riceville and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) DeVries of Floyd; a son, Don of Riceville; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wally (June) Roethler of Waukon, and Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Buchholz of Riceville; and a brother, Robert Kruger of Riceville.
