PEARL MORSE

Osage – Mrs. Pearl Morse, 87, a former Osage resident, died Friday at her home in Ottumwa. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Fremont, Iowa. Burial will be in the Highland Center Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Cecil, Kirksville, Iowa; David, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; two daughters; Mrs. Bill Curtis, Ottumwa; Mrs. John Grinstead, Osage; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a brother, Leon Smith, Minneapolis.

Pearl Louise Smith was born November 15, 1876 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Henry Smith and Ella (Smalley) Smith.

She married William Turner Morse, the son of Langdon and Marian (Ramsey) Morse.

4 children were born to them in Mitchell County, Iowa

David Charles Morse born June 27, 1897
William Cecil Morse born September 6, 1900
Corrine Pearl Morse born July 9, 1906 – she married #1 John Grinstead ; #2 Lloyd Odden
Josephine Clair Morse born August 14, 1908-she married Willard Curtis
