FLORENCE (WILKES) "MICKEY" SCHWANKE
Mickey Schwanke, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1927, at Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard & Marla (Graves) Wilkes.
Mickey married Gene Schwanke in October of 1947 in Raymond, Iowa. She was employed as the office manager at Cedar Falls Construction and was a secretary at Ransom Bailey.
Survivors include her husband, Gene of Cedar Falls; two sons, Ron (Pam) Schwanke of Elgin, Iowa and Bruce (Carol) Bowers of Colorado; and one sister, Bonnie Larson of Waterloo. Mickey was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Monday. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
