MRS. OPALINA SECKAR
DIED SUNDAY MORNING

Funeral rites for Mrs. Opaline Seckar, 69, were held Tuesday afternoon, August 9, in the Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Risse officiating. Burial was made in Oak Grove cemetery at Mitchell. Mrs. Seckar died of a paralytic stroke in her home early Sunday morning.

She was born on February 9, 1880, in Czechoslovakia. She spent her early childhood there and married Joseph Seckar on July 4, 1905. With her three-year-old son, Frank, she joined her husband in America in 1909. They lived in new York City, N.Y., Chicago, Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana before coming to Mitchell in 1927.

Survivors are four sons: Frank of Watertown, N.Y., John of Stacyville, Anthony of Chicago, Illinois, and John of Mitchell; three daughters: Mrs. Hyland Trout of Mitchell, Mrs. Hermann Mauer, and Mrs. John Zeman, both of Chicago; a sister, Katharina, in Czechoslovakia; and twelve grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers in Czechoslovakia, a sister, Mrs. Frank Janceck, two infant daughters, Agnes and Mildred, and her husband.
