GRAFTON MAN DIED
MONDAY FOLLOWING
LINGERING ILLNESS

Funeral services for Edmund M. Schmidt, 75, of Grafton, Iowa, will be held today, Thursday, at the Schmidt home and at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton immediately following. Burial will be in the Grafton cemetery. Rev. C. Buehler will officiate.

Mr. Schmidt died Monday at his home in Grafton after an illness of several years. He had been bedfast for about six months.

Mr. Schmidt was born on March 18, 1874, and while a boy he lived north of Plymouth. After his marriage to Amelia Erdman of St. Ansgar, they lived south of Grafton until their children were grown. They then retired to Grafton.

Surviving are his wife, three children: Mrs. Eleanor White, Walter, and Mrs. Laura Beasley, all of Grafton; one brother, Karl, a retired minister; and one sister, Mrs. George Gordon of Austin, Minnesota.
