#1: Obituary-
Carl O. Wamstad was born in 1873 in Cedar Township, southwest of Osage, Iowa, to Ole O. and Carrie Pederson Wamstad. He married Nettie Carlson of Nora Springs and they lived a short time near Nora Springs. Four children were born to this union.
The family moved to Tracy, Minnesota, where his wife died during the flu epidemic of World War I. He lived five more years in Minnesota, then moved to Parma, Idaho. He was married twice there, both wives preceding him in death. His last wife, Elizabeth, died in 1946.
Mr. Wamstad, 76, was vacationing in Long Beach, California, and was found dead in bed last Monday. It is believed he died Sunday. He had been contacted by his brother, Henry, and wife, both of Osage, who were vacationing in California, to go to the Iowa picnic, but he had said he did not feel able to go.
Burial was made in the family lot Thursday at Parma, Idaho. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth of Parma, and Charles of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Andrew of Parma and Mrs. Henrietta Collins of Chicago; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two brothers, Milton of Nora Springs, and Henry of Osage.
