Nora (Norah) Johanna Finsand Horgen
Nora Johanna Finsand was born April 3, 1897 at Cedar township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Hans Finsand and Elisabeth Isaacs, the oldest of their two daughters.
Nora was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on May 9, 1897. She was confirmed at the same church on June 11, 1911.
Nora's younger sister was Ruth Theresa Finsand (born June 12, 1898, died before 1900, both at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa).
Nora married Gilman Irvine Horgen at Mitchell County, Iowa between 1920-1925. The couple had 6 children. The family moved from Mitchell County, Iowa to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Nora died June 29, 1985 at Koochiching, Minnesota.
Found in the 1900 to 1920 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: Nils A Isaac 22, Robert Isaac 70, Johana Isaac 49, Hannah C Isaac 18, Relph J Isaac 11, Clarence M Isaac 9, Almer K Isaac 5, Elisabeth Finsand 24, Nora J Finsand 3. (Living with her mother's parents).
1910: parents divorced by 1910. Robert Isaacs 80[50], Johanna Palm Isaacs 59, Ralph Isaacs 20, Elizabeth Isaacs 34, Clarence Isaacs 19, Elmer Isaacs 16, Nora Finsand 13.
1920: Elmer C Isaacs 24, Cora Isaacs 27, Garland E Isaacs 2[2 0/12], Nora J Finsend 22. 1925: Gilman Horgen 26, Nora J Horgen 27, Virgina M Horgen 3, Gilman Horgen Junior 2, Merlin J Horgen 1.
Found in the 1930, 1940 censuses at Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN:
