IVERSON, Ragnild (Enger) 1856-1901

Ragnild Enger was born October 1856 to Fingal Enger and Kari Vinger. Believe she emigrated 1882 to Mitchell County, Iowa.

Found living in the 1885 census at Cedar, Mitchell County, Iowa with the Thrond Hegg family; she has a daughter, Caroline Enger, age 2 (Caroline born March 4, 1883 Mitchell, Iowa, died January 9, 1975 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa).

Ragnild married Gulbrand Iverson on January 16, 1889 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple lived on a farm in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa and had 4 sons:
Oliver Iverson (born November 19, 1889, died January 20, 1969 Mitchell, Iowa);

Peter Fritchoff Iverson (born November 11, 1892, died July 8, 1975 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);

Oscar Gilbert Iverson (born December 31, 1894, died June 28, 1959 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa) and

Carl Rudolph Iverson (born September 25, 1897, died August 20, 1984 Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa).

Family found in the 1900 Census at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, using the surname Gilbertson instead of Iverson: Gulbrand Gilbertson 54, Rangnild Gilbertson 43, Karoline Gilbertson 16, Oliver Gilbertson 10, Peder F Gilbertson 7, Gilbert O Gilbertson 5, Karl R Gilbertson 2, Ole Gilbertson 49.

Ragnild Iverson died July 10, 1901 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
