MITCHELL, IOWA - Clarence J. "Bud" Fischer, 70, of Mason City, formerly of Mitchell, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, near Castalia, of natural causes.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis, John and Lynn, all of Mitchell; six grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Phillips of Waucoma and Mary Lou Bigler of Jackson Junction; and four brothers, Martin of Festina, Micky of Waucoma, Jerry of Fort Atkinson and Robert of Gladbrook
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol; a sister, Venita Phillips; and his fiancee, Evelyn Holms.
Services will be Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, both in Mitchell. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Osage American Legion Post. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
Mr. Fischer was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for 25 years in Mason City at the Decker and Armour meat packing plants.
