The funeral for Larry C. Kopisch, 52, of Fremont, Nebraska, was held on Friday, December 11, 1992, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. He died Tuesday, December 8, 1992, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.
He was born on October 1, 1940, at Osage, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Nora Springs, Iowa, then moved with his family to Hastings. He moved to Fremont in November of 1984, and worked in design and sales of ambulances and firetrucks for several companies.
More recently he was a security officer at the State Office Building in Omaha. He taught defensive driving classes for the Safety Council of Nebraska, and had a Fremont Tribune motor route.
Kopisch was a former member of the volunteer fire department, and of the National Guard unit, both in Hastings.
He was married to Darlys Buttjer on August 16, 1961, in Hastings.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Scott, of Fremont; his parents, LeRoy and Leona Kopisch of Hastings; and a brother, James, also of Hastings.
The Rev. Mark Grorud officiated at the services. The Brand-Wilson Mortuary in Hastings was in charge of arrangements, with burial at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Blue Hill.
