St. Ansgar, Iowa - Roger Wilder, 77, of St. Ansgar, died on Monday, July 9, 2012, at his home.

Roger was born January 21, 1933 to Andrew (Jack) and Elmira (Smith) Wilder. Roger attended school at Otranto.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Kittleson on June 6, 1954 at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. The couple had five children.

Roger worked as a mechanic for L.R. Falk for many years. His lawns and garden were his pride and joy. He spent countless hours on his lawn mower. He was a volunteer fireman for many years.

Roger is survived by his wife, Barb; three daughters: Nancy (Randy) Hackenmiller, Linda (John Harl) Hatten, Becky (Mike) Dobson; one son, Kent Wilder; six grandchildren: Molly Hackenmiller, Joe (Maria) Hackenmiller, Jason Hatten, Brittnae Canfield, Nathan Dobson, Alton Dobson; five great-grandchildren: Kimberly, Kenya, Joey Hackenmiller; Danny, Lily Hatten; two sisters, Jeanne (Butch) Neuman and Joan (Steve) Braun; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Elmira Wilder; four brothers: Doyle, Laurel, Marly, Donnie Wilder; and by one son, Kevin Wilder.
