STACYVILLE RESIDENT DIES OF HEART ATTACK
Stacyville – Mathias S. Fasbender, 63, died suddenly at his home Saturday, following a heart attack.
Funeral services were to be held Tuesday morning at Visitation Church, the Rev. Father Lohberg officiating.
He spent his early life on a farm near Stacyville until 10 years ago when his health prevented him from work. The past 10 years he has assisted his wife in caring for aged people in their nursing home.

Mathias Stephen Fasbender was born March 12, 1882 in Adams County, Minnesota, the son of Stephen Fasbender and Mary (Kloeckner) Fasbender.
He married Frances Studer, the daughter of Gregory Studer and Mary Ann (Ludwig) Studer.
He was buried in the Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville, Mitchell, Iowa (see Iowa GPP tombstone)
