Mrs. C.J. Wells

Mrs C. J. Wells died late Tuesday afternoon April 10 at her home after an illness of several weeks. Pneumonia was the cause of death. She was 60 years old. Mrs Wells who was Isabelle Hawkins was born in Wayne Township, Iowa, southwest of LeRoy, November 27, 1873. She was married to Clarence Joseph Wells on June 6, 1895. The couple moved to LeRoy and lived here their entire life.

Mr. Wells survives with two daughters Clarice Wells of Rochester and Dorothy Duffy of Riceville and two sons Harlan of Chicago and Aaron of LeRoy. Three brothers Mons Hawkins of Monticello, Carl of Billings, Montana, and Fairis of Albert Lea, two sisters Mrs. L.M. Halling of LeRoy and Mrs T. Nelson of Albert Lea.

Mrs. Wells was confirmed and a member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of LeRoy. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 P.M. at her home by Rev. C. A. Hughes with burial in the LeRoy Cemetery.
