Warren Jesse Wheeler – December 8, 1921 – June 15, 2006

RICEVILLE, Iowa -- The funeral for Warren J. Wheeler will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wayne Baptist Church in McIntire, Iowa, with the Rev. Gary Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Cemetery, McIntire.

Mr. Wheeler, 85, of Riceville, Iowa, died Thursday (June 15, 2006) at Austin Medical Center.

Warren Jesse Wheeler was born Dec. 8, 1921, on the family farm in McIntire. He lived his entire life in the house in which he was born. He graduated from McIntire High School in 1939. He farmed in the McIntire area his entire life. He was a lifelong member of the Wayne Baptist Church, was a member of the Mitchell County Farm Bureau and was active in their conservation program.

Survivors include a sister, Olive Trettin of Grafton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy, and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
