GRAFTON, IOWA - Olive Irene (Wheeler) Trettin, 99, of Grafton, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
Services are pending at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Olive Irene (Wheeler) Trettin, age 99, of Grafton, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with Pastor Barbara M. Wills officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:15 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. Following services, the family will greet relatives and friends in the church hall.
Olive was born September 15, 1912, on the family farm near McIntire, Iowa, the daughter of Irvin and Cora (Shumway) Wheeler. She graduated from McIntire High School and Hamilton Business College in Mason City. On September 15, 1942, Olive married Kermit Trettin at St. Joseph, Missouri. They made their home on a farm near Grafton. She enjoyed church, travel, quilting, counted cross stitch, sewing, knitting and games.
Olive is survived by her children, Mardell (Gary) Porter of Sandusky, Ohio, Robert (Mary) Trettin of Waterloo, Tom (Jean) Trettin of Herndon, Virginia; five grandchildren, Eric Porter, Brian (Monette) Porter, Amy Morris, Michael (Maren) Trettin, and Matthew (Angela) Trettin; two step-grandchildren, Nick and Josh Wehrwein; five great-grandchildren, Cameron Morris, Greyson Porter, Ethan Trettin, Henry Trettin, and Audrey Trettin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit in 1991; one grandson; one sister; and two brothers.
