LEONA REETZ
CHARLES CITY - Leona Reetz, 76, a resident of 107 S. Hilltop Ave., Alta Vista, and formerly of Charles City, died Thursday (March 11, 1999) at a Rochester, Minn., hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with the Rev. Peter D. Peterson, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.
She was born on January 24, 1923.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauser Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday.

Leona Ida Flugge was born January 24, 1923 in Howard County, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer Flugge and Elsie Caroline Lubbert.
She married Edward Emil Arndt, the son of Adolph Arndt and Mary Caroline Hohn. They were divorced in February 1952.
She married Carlton Frederick Reetz in May 1963, the son of Carl Reetz and Augusta (Yuech) Reetz. (marriage license from Globe Gazette May 6, 1963). His first wife was Darlien Phillips.
Her son David Lee Arndt preceded her in death in 1948. She was survived by daughters, Margaret Ann (Arndt) Brockney, Avis (Arndt) Jarrett, and a son James Arndt all of Charles City.
