OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Oliver Cockrum, 55; a former Osage resident, who died Wednesday at Pine Island, Minnesota, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Clausen-Jordan Mortuary in Minnesota; burial with military rites at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Osage Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Naida; two sons, Rodney and Kelley, both of Austin; a daughter, Juanita of Arlington, Virginia; three brothers, Herbert and Vernon, both of Osage, and David of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Noble of Osage and Mrs. Edna Pint of Mitchell.

Mr. and Mrs. David Cockrum received word that their youngest son, Pfc. Oliver Cockrum, was seriously wounded in action on February 26 in Germany. Private Cockrum was sent overseas in March, 1944. He received the Purple Heart last August for injuries received to one hand. His brother, David, is serving with the air corps in South America, and Irwin is a cook at Camp Wolters, Texas.
