OBITUARY:

RICEVILLE, IOWA -- Francis Burke, 63, died at his home in Cresco. He was born Dec. 4, 1902, at Riceville, the son of Thomas and Katherine Burke. He was a railroad construction worker and veteran of World War II.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Riceville. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery. Military services will be conducted at the grave.

A rosary will be said at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Chisholm Funeral Home.

He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl, Cresco; three brothers, Dr. Edmund Burke and Robert Burke both of Waterloo, and James Burke, Alhambra California; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Dorneden and Mrs. Stasia Dorneden, both of Gratiot, Wis. and Mrs. E. A. (Irene) Shornhorst, Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
