Funeral services for Mrs. Johanna C. Sieverts, 99, of St. Ansgar, who died Friday, September 4, 1987 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held Tuesday, September 8 at First Lutheran church with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.
Mrs. Sieverts was born June 5, 1888 at Lack, Germany, the daughter of Jacob and Ingeborg (Tecksen) Anthonisen.
She and her husband made their home around New Hampton. In the spring of 1957 the couple moved to St. Ansgar.
Survivors include two daughters, Lily Heskett of Desert Hot Springs, Calif. and Inga Larson of Lawler; two sons, Chris of St. Ansgar and John of New Hampton; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
Burial was in Crane Creek cemetery, Lawler, Iowa.
