Funeral services for Harrison Schulz, 75, of rural Osage, who died Saturday, February 21, 1987 at a Mason City hospital were held Tuesday, February 24 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.

Mr. Schulz was born October 6, 1911 in Worth County, the son of William and May Bell (Jeffries) Schulz and was raised in Mitchell County.

He married Alice Lindley in Osage on July 30, 1933 and the couple farmed in the St. Ansgar area until he retired in 1984. Following that retirement, he raised Charlois cattle for a hobby.

Mr. Schulz was a member of the American Charolais Association. He was a member of the First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar.

Survivors include his wife, Alice of rural Osage; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Jolene) Beebe of Colleyville, Texas, Mrs. Verne (Phyllis) Burque of Burnsville, Minnesota, and Mrs. Perry (Lois) Frein of Spencer; four sons, William of Charles City, Delbert of Warrenville, Illinois, Galen and Gerold of St. Ansgar; a sister Norma Jean Meyer of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Hilbert, Waterloo, and Carl "Scoop" Schulz of Mitchell; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Burial was in St. Ansgar Cemetery.
