C.R. CHAMPION'S
LOST LITTLE SON LAST
THURSDAY MORNINGOne of the saddest bereavements we have given an account for a long time is the death of little "Tootie" Champion, three-and-a-half-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Champion. The little fellow had, at first, a case of measles, and when almost over them, caught cold, and pneumonia developed almost at once.
For several days he was critically ill; then he seemed to have passed the crisis and be gaining. On Thursday night he went to sleep easily, but about 4 o'clock in the morning a sudden change came, and he passed away within a short time.
The baby -- named for his father -- Clayton E.**, was one of the most attractive little tots in town, and was a number of years younger than his two brothers, Lawrence and Maurice, and consequently was idolized by them.
The grief-stricken parents have the syumpathy of Osage people in their loss.
Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon and burial made in the Osage cemetery.

**Note: The newspaper article appeared to say "Clayton E."
