Near FaribaultOSAGE, IOWA — Services will be Thursday at Osage for a former resident who drowned on August 16 at a lake near Faribault, Minnesota.
Minnesota authorities told the Mitchell County Sheriff's office that Richard Ogden, 23, of Rochester, Minnesota, was on a pontoon boat on Lake Mazaska when a cooler fell overboard. Ogden dived in to retrieve the cooler, they said, and did not reappear.

An ex-Marine Ogden had been wounded in Vietnam and won the Purple Heart and other citations.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage. Burial in Osage Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Richard Jr., 2½, and a daughter, Casie, 1½, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ogden of Osage; a sister, Mrs. Debbie Brandt of Osage; of Osage; a brother, Daniel of Osage; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Earl Snyder of Osage.
