OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services for Dennis Nelson, 31, a former resident, who was killed Sunday in an airplane crash at Seattle, Washington, were to be Wednesday afternoon in Seattle.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Nelson of De Moines, former Mitchell County residents, and a sister, Mrs. Mike Hauge of Des Moines.

Five Killed When Aircraft
Crashes At Airport Takeoff

SEATTLE (AP) — Five persons were killed Sunday when their light plane crashed on takeoff from Sky Sports Airport near Issaquah, east of Seattle.

The State Patrol identified them as the pilot, Darrell Jagger of Seattle and four passengers who planned to skydive.

The passengers, all from the Portland, Oregon area were identified as William Hutchison, 26, Portland, Michael Smith of Portland, Dennis Nelson, 31, Tigard, and William Champagne, 29, Portland.

Officers said the single-engine plane crashed at the north end of the airstrip. A witness said the plane seemed to be flying normally, then made a sharp turn and plummeted to the ground.
