Funeral services were held on Monday, November 26, 1984, for Roger Fredricks, at the United Methodist Church in McIntire. Rev. L. Carlson and Rev. J. Gilbert officiated, with burial in the Park Cemetery at Nora Springs. He died on Thursday, November 22, 1984 at Veteran's Hospital in Iowa City.
Roger Fredricks was born at Nora Springs, Iowa, on August 29, 1932, the son of George and Ada Fredricks. He attended school in Nora Springs after which he served in the United States Navy for four years.
On June 11, 1955 he was united in marriage to Mildred Dunn. They lived in Illinois for several years, returning to Iowa in 1965 and residing there until the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred of McIntire; a daughter, Dawn Marie of Rochester, Minnesota, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Fredricks of Nora Springs, and four sisters: Mrs. Bob (Francis) Kelly of Nora Springs, Mrs. James (Marge) Rockwell of escondido, Calif., Mrs. Bernard (Doris) Fitzgerald of Mason City, Mrs. Darrell (Wanda) Walker of Nora Springs, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Roger Duane, Jr.
