Funeral services for Ottmar "Ole" Weber, 72, of Stacyville, a former Osage resident who managed the Stacyville Lumber Company for nearly half a century, were held on Friday, July 13, 1984, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. Rec. J. Paul Andree and the Rev. F. Heimermann officiated, with burial in the Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville. Military rites were by the Stacyville American Legion Post 569. He died on Tuesday, July 11, 1984 at the Stacyville Nursing Home.

Ottmar Weber was born on November 22, 1911 in Coldwater, Ohio, the son of Matt and Elizabeth Ginsterbloom Weber. His family moved to Stacyville where he was educated.

He was united in marriage to Regina Sylvester on June 2, 1938 in Greene. They lived in Stacyville where he managed the Stacyville Lumber Company for 48 years. They moved to Osage in 1966 and to Sioux City in 1981 when he retired. They recently had moved to the nursing home in Stacyville.

He served in the armed forces in World War II and was a member of the Stacyville American Legion Post 569 and Osage VFW Post 7920. Survivors include his wife, Regina Weber of Stacyville; three daughters: Pat of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Gary (Nancy) Pfeister of Sergeant Bluff, and Kathleen of San Francisco, Calif.; a son, Donald of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Duenow of Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Ben (Dottie) Bensmiller of San Diego, California.
