Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 12, 1984, for Ada Kuehl at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa, with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Norman Betke officiated.
Ada Augusta Wilhelmina Wilke Kuehl was born on May 28, 1898, in Mitchell County, the daughter of Julius and Augusta Wilke. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and grew up in the St. Ansgar area.
She married August Kuehl in 1924, making their home in St. Ansgar. She was organizt for Immanuel Lutheran Church. Following her husband's death she was employed as a live-in companion and nurse in various parts of the country, returning to the St. Ansgar and Osage area upon retirement.
She is survived by two stepsons, Earl of Waterloo and Laverne of Osage; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Albert (Irma) Adams of Osage; eight step-grandchildren; and 27 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband August; stepson, Lloyd; and Stepdaughter, Arlene.
