Matilda Schweiger – August 22, 1896 – January 6, 1950
Osage – Funeral rites will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, for Miss Matilda Schweier, 53. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Miss Schweiger died Friday of a brain tumor at a sanatorium in Shaker Heights, suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born on the home farm near Osage August 22, 1896 to Burt and Mary (Marr) Schweiger. She spent her girlhood there and in 1927 went to Minneapolis to be a companion, continuing with this family when they moved to Shaker Heights in 1929.She leaves two brothers; William and Mease, both of Osage; eight sisters; Mrs. Rose Baker, Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Henry McCarthy, McIntire; Mrs Glen Buckley, Bowman, North Dakota; Mrs. Roy Steptler, Sidney, Montana; Sister Mary Ignatius, Kalispell, Montana; Mrs. Ed Miller, Bowman, Montana; Mrs. Ernest Janbrin, Ludlow, South Dakota; and Mrs. Harold Sullivan, Osage.
Preceding her were her parents, an infant brother, Burt, and a sister, Mrs. William Steptler.
