OLAUS H. RUST DIES SATURDAY
DIES IN OSAGE HOSPITAL OF DROPSY; FUNERAL HELD ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Olaus Hanson Rust, 77, a resident of the St. Ansgar community all of his life died suddenly at the Savre Hospital, Osage, last Saturday evening. Funeral services were conducted at First Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Rust began to fail in health last fall and his illness was diagnosed as dropsy and leakage of the heart. His condition grew gradually worse, and he was advised to go to a hospital. He was taken to the Savre Hospital January 11.
Olaus Rust, the son of Hans Olson Rust and Ingeborg Colbertson Rust, was born April 12, 1856, on the old Rust homestead north of St. Ansgar. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. Clausen, April 23, 1871. He grew to manhood on the homestead and then purchased a farm adjoining where he lived the rest of his life. His sister, Carrie, made her home with him until her death in 1906.
