The deceased was baptized November __, 1930 and confirmed on July 6, 1845 in the Lutheran faith. She was ever a devout Christian living an upright and honest life.

This union was blessed with ______children, of whom six survive; Peter Roe, Mrs. Tollefson, Mrs. Magnusen, and Mrs. Havig, all of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Mrs. Tuff and Mrs. Evans of Minnesota. Her husband preceded her in death, passing away on the Roe farm west of St. Ansgar on March 31, 1881.

With her husband and six children they left Norway for this country April 9, 1867. They arrived in Fillmore county, Minnesoata, on June 9 where they lived for about a year before they moved to Mitchell county where Mrs. Roe has lived since. The family lived on a farm west of St. Ansgar until 1896, when Mrs. Roe moved to St. Ansgar, where she spent the remaining years of her life.

Her life was one filled with cheerfulness. Her daughter, Mrs. Magnusen lived with the deceased for the last few years doing all in her power to make her mother's declining years a comfort.
