CASPER WORPLE

March 18, 1892 - October 30, 1926

Casper Worple was born March 18, 1892, on the farm in Howard County, Iowa, and passed away October 30, 1926 at the age of 34 years, 7 months and 15 days.

Burial services were held on Tuesday, November 2 from the Lutheran Church south of town, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. E. Leckband. He was an ex-serviceman and the local American Legion Post attended in a body, according him the honor and distinction of military burial.

Casper Worple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Worple, as a youth was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith, a member of the church south of town.

He enlisted for the world war February 23, 1918, receiving his discharge the following June. From the gassing he had received, tuberculosis developed which eventually caused his death.

He was married to Dorothy Muetz of Alta Vista, Iowa, December 27, 1922, who, with two children are left bereaved. His parents, three brothers, and three sisters also survive.

Casper Worple married Dorothy Muetz, the daughter of William Fred Muetz and Isabelle (Hiney) Muetz. Casper and Dorothy had 2 children, Frances L. who was born about 1923 and Theodore F, who was born about 1924.

In 1920 the Muetz family was living in Deerfield, Chickasaw, Iowa and by 1930 the Muetz family is living in Madison, Dane, Wisconsin and Dorothy (Muetz) Worple and her two children are living with her parents.

Dorothy (Muetz) Worple Frisque was born March 27, 1903 in Chickasaw Co., Iowa and died January 2, 1993 in Rock County, Wisconsin. Her second husband was Lawrence Frisque.

Their daughter, Frances L. Worple was born January 7, 1923. She married Arthur E. Thompson. As of Feb 2012 she was still alive but her husband died in 2006 and is buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Janesville, Wisconsin.
