MRS. CHARLES (FRANCIS) WORPLE
March 27, 1868 - October 24, 1927
#1:
Mrs. Francis Worple, daughter of Casper and Johanna Heller, was born March 27, 1868 at Ridgewood, Wisconsin and passed away October 24, 1927, Riceville, Iowa, from Bright's Disease, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 27 days, and spent most of her life in Howard County.
Mrs. Worple was a semi-invalid from asthma for twenty years or more; however, the ailment that proved fatal was uremia or Bright's Disease which confined her to her bed October 17 not to rise again.
The end was peaceful and without a struggle. She was ready and eager to die, trusting solely and alone in her Savior and His atoning blood. He did not forsake her, she is now with Him in eternal happiness. A real mother always, and above all, a Christian mother, loved and respected by all who knew her. A patient sufferer who humbly had learned to say: "Lord, Thy will be done."
Of remaining relatives there are her husband, three sons: Charles Jr., Leo, and Leonard; three daughters: Mrs. Charles Koepke, Janesville, Iowa; Mrs. Joe Reckner and Mrs. Joe Richards, Riceville. There also remains a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Casper Worple, and a brother, Theodore Heller, both of Riceville; a sister, Mrs. Anna Smith, Waterloo; and her aged mother, Mrs. Johanna Heller. Many friends also mourn her loss.
