Funeral services for Mrs. Ida O. Rust, 75, who died in a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota, October 17, 1952 after a short illness, were held October 21 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. O. A. Langehough officiating.
The former Ida Strand, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. K.O. Strand, formerly of Lyle, was born in Mona August 24, 1877. She lived in the St. Ansgar community for a number of years and with her late husband, George Rust, moved to Marion and Fargo, N. Dakota. Mrs. Rust had made her home there for the past 25 years.
She is survived by three children, Gerold Rust of Valley City, North Dakota, Lucille (Mrs. Ed. Cook) of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Irma (Mrs. Glenn Personette) of the state of Washington; also two sisters, Mrs. Ella Volstad of Lyle and Mrs. Charles Culbertson of Carpenter; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two children preceded her in death.
They were members of the First Lutheran church in Fargo.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery here with Rev. Langehough in charge of the committal services.
