Funeral services for Henry Rust, 74, longtime resident of St. Ansgar, who died August 9, 1958, were held August 12 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Henry Erickson officiating.
Henry Rust, the son of the late Nels and Betsy Rust, was born on the farm home near St. Ansgar July 26, 1884. He was baptized in the First Lutheran church at St. Ansgar and confirmed by the late Rev. John Olsen in 1898.
He attended the Pleasant Prairie school, farmed with his father and later worked his own farm.
Mr. Rust is surived by two sisters, Ida of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Frank Chatman of Osage; two brothers, Frank of Minneapolis and Gilman of near St. Ansgar; also one niece, Mrs. Vallego Bullis of Osage and three nephews, Allen Rust, who has worked his farm in recent years, Alfred Chatman of Faribault, Minnesota and Ben Chatman of Osage. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Erickson in charge of the committal services.
