Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Goodbrand, 99, were held Thursday, March 8, 1984, at the Conway Funeral Home in Riceville. Rev. Nancy Tomlinson officiated at the service with burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville. Mrs. Goodbrand died on Monday, March 5, 1984 at the Riceville Community Rest Home.
Mary was born in Egan, Illinois, the daughter of David and Matilda Moudy. The family moved to Iowa when she was an early age.
On November 9, 1910 she was united in marriage to William N. Goodbrand, and they lived their entire life in the Riceville area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David and a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Cecil of Osage and Stanley of Riceville; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and a niece, Mrs. Les Marr.
