Joyce Nightingale Jones, 83, a part-time resident of Payson, died Aug. 28, 2005. She was born Jan. 10, 1922 in St. Ansgar, Iowa, to Noble Nightingale and Grace Colbertson.

Joyce Nightingale was born January 19, 1922 in St. Ansgar, the daughter of Noble William Nightingale and Grace Natalia Colbertson

Her mother, Grace Natalia Colbertson was the daughter of George Nicholas Colbertson and Ann Margaret (Culmsee) Colbertson.

Her mother Grace Colbertsons first husband was Noble William Nightingale. They had two children Joyce Natalia Nightingale who was born January 10, 1922, married Harry W Jones in 1944 and she died August 28, 2005 in Payson, Arizona and a son Laverne Noble Nightingale who was born March 17, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri and died August 16, 2011 in Belton, Cass, Missouri.

Joyce Nightingale’s father, Noble William Nightingale, was born July 9, 1900 in Missouri and died September 5, 1931 in Kansas City.

Her mother Grace Colbertson’s 2nd husband was Lauritz Peter Hansen. They had at least two sons, Allen George Hansen , and David L. Hansen.
