Allen George Hansen – April 16, 1936 – November 13, 2004

Allen George Hansen, 68, of Syracuse, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in Syracuse, Morgan County, Missouri.

He was born April 16, 1936, in St. Ansgar, Iowa, a son of Lauritz Peter and Grace Natalia Colbertson Hansen. On Dec. 30, 1965, he was married to Allene Sue Hodges, who survives of the home.

Mr. Hansen was a retired Army veteran. He was a member of American Military Society.

Also surviving are two sons, William Allen Hansen, of Lee's Summit, and David Allen Hansen, and his wife, Kimberly, of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, David L. Hansen, of Earlham, Iowa, and Laverne Nightingale, of Climax Springs; a sister, Joyce N. Jones, of Gilbert, Ariz.; and a granddaughter, Kolina L. Hansen.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends may sign the guest book online at www.kidwellgarber.com

Allen George Hansen was born April 16, 1936 in St. Ansgar, Iowa, the son of Laurita Peter and Grace Natalia (Colbertson) Hansen.

His mother, Grace Natalia Colbertson was the daughter of George Nicholas Colbertson and Ann Margaret (Culmsee) Colbertson.

Grace Colbertsons first husband was Noble William Nightingale. They had two children Joyce Natalia Nightingale who was born January 10, 1922, married Harry W. Jones in 1944 and she died August 28, 2005 in Payson, Arizona. Their son was Laverne Noble Nightingale was born March 17, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri and died August 16, 2011 in Belton, Cass, Missouri.

Her first husband Noble William Nightingale was born July 9, 1900 in Missouri and died September 5, 1931 in Kansas City.

Grace Colbertson’s 2nd husband was Lauritz Peter Hansen. They had at least two sons, Allen George Hansen (the above obit) and David L. Hansen.
