ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Services for Walter Pike, 95, who died Saturday at a nursing center in St. Ansgar, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.
Survivors include four sons: Archie of Lyle, Minn., Guy of Carpenter, Harold of Dumont, and Roy of Northwood; five daughters: Mrs. George Naber of Kensett; Mrs. Alvin Olson and Miss Elmo Pike of Northwood, Mrs. Art Hanson of Glenville, Minnesota, and Mrs. Thelma Delaney of Austin.
Friends may call at Schroeder and Dunn Funeral Home in St. Ansgar between 7 and 3:30 p .m. Monday.

#5:Funeral services for Walter G. Pike, 95, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center June 5, 1976, were held at the First Lutheran church here June 8 with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.
Walter Guy Pike was born December 26, 1880 in Deer Creek township in Worth county, the son of Edwin R. and Diana (Sumption) Pike. He was one of 12 children. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by the Rev. M.E. Waldeland in the Edwin Pike, Jr. home and became a member of Deer Creek Lutheran church near Carpenter. He attended Deer Creek county school near his home.
On December 9, 1903 he married Isabelle Kvale at the Edwin Pike Sr. homestead. They lived on the home place for the first 10 years of their marriage, and farmed in the Carpenter and Otranto areas their entire married life. Mr. Pike farmed until he was 85 years of age.
The Walter Pikes were the parents of 10 children. They were members of Deer Creek Lutheran church until they moved from the farm, and he has since been a member of the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar.
Mr. Pike was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle; a daughter, Lucy; five grandchildren, a number of great great grandchildren; his parents and his 11 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by nine children; Mrs. George (Dorothy) Naber of Kensett; Archie of Lyle; Guy of Carpenter; Harold of Dumont; Mrs. Alvin (Alice) Olson of Northwoo; Mrs. Art (Truly) Hansen of Glenville; Roy of Northwood; Miss Elmo Pike of Northwood; Mrs. Thelma Delaney of Austin, Minn.; also 42 grandchildren; 131 great grandchildren and 42 great great grandchildren.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of the committal services.
