Funeral Services Held For
Gertrude Petznick Friday,
August 25 at Osage

Funeral services for Gertrude Petznick, 74, of Osage, who died Wednesday, August 23, 1989, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Mason City, were held Friday, August 25 at Champion Funeral Home in Osage with the Reverend Roger R. Hubbard of Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, officiating.

Mrs. Petznick was born August 27, 1914 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, to Herman and Bertha (Zarling) Koschmeder. She was educated in rural Rock Township schools.

She married Alvin Petznick January 28, 1934 in Osage. They farmed in Mitchell County. Mr. Petznick later worked in construction and they lived in St. Ansgar until moving to Osage in 1967. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage.

Survivors include one son, Glen [Dianne], rural St. Ansgar; two grandsons; two sisters, Julia Muller, Osage, and Mrs. Arnold (Harriet) Loftus, Waseca, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died in 1981, an infant daughter; six sisters and four brothers.

Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
