At 12 o'clock last Sunday night occured the death of Daniel Greer, more familiarly known here as "Tush" Greer, from diabetes, from which he had for two years been a sufferer. Mr. Greer had been unable to work for a long time, but this month, feeling rather better in health, he opened a restaurant, little over two weeks ago, and as he was at his place of business nearly every day, his death seemed sudden, altho' he had known for a long time that his disease was incurable.
Mr. Greer was always a kind husband and father to the young wife and little daughter that survive him. He was born in Portage, Wisconsin, in 1866, came here with his parents in 1871, married to Helen Fuller, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs Sanford Fuller, in 1891.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. A. S. Hale on Wednesday forenoon, and the remains laid to rest in Stacyville cemetery. The sympathy of all goes out to the wife and little daughter, bereft of the companionship of husband and father.
