ANTON B. OLSEN

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Services for Anton B. Olsen, 84, who died Thursday at his home, will be 11 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church; burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include a brother, Theodore Olsen of Waterloo; Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services for Anton B. Olsen, 84, who died at his residence in St. Ansgar Wednesday, September 2, 1970, were held Saturday, September 5 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.

Anton B. Olsen was born in St. Ansgar May 22, 1886. He spent his boyhood here, and was graduated from St. Ansgar high school. He attended Cedar Rapids Business College, and then went to work for Gamble Robinson Fruit Co., Aberdeen, S.D.

He married Helen O'Reillay in 1936, and they made their home in Minneapolis. In 1954 the Olsens moved to St. Ansgar to live with his sister, Jennie Olsen. His wife died in 1956. Mr. Olsen remained here and cared for his sister, Jennie until her death in 1966.

He was a member of the First Lutheran church here. He is survived by one brother, Theodore Olsen of Waterloo; one nephew, Jay Whitaker, and one niece, Grace Whitaker, both of Osage.

Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of the committal service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rondae (Ingbretsin) Olsen; four brothers and four sisters.
