MANLY, IOWA - Gertrude "Gertie" M. LaMar, 88, of Manly, died Wednesday (Oct. 28, 2009) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 N. Broadway, Manly, with the Rev. David G. Kucera and the Rev. Kenneth B. Gehling concelebrating. Inurnment will take place at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at the Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 Spring St., Manly, with a rosary taking place at 6:30 p.m.

Gertrude Hemann was born January 24, 1921 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Francis “Frank” Nicholas Hemann and Theresia (Thome) Hemann. She married Frank LaMar.
