L. W. BURNS DIES AT 70; RITES FRIDAY
Rockford – Lewis Warren Burns, 70, died Tuesday at a Nora Springs nursing home.Born in Humboldt, May 18, 1890, he had lived here 17 years. He was a grocer.
Surviving are his wife, five children; John and Charles, Rockford; Illeen Tift, Nora Springs; Leita Wucher, Norfolk, Va.; Shirley Gruis, Klemme; his mother, Mrs. Effie Burns, Mason City; a sister and a brother.
Funeral services will be Friday at the Lutheran Church here at 2 p.m. The Rev. J. G. Brinkman will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with military and Masonic rites at the grave. Weaver Funeral Home is in charge.

Rockford – Funeral services for Lewis Warren Burns, 70, have been changed to Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church.
